After helping found Déménagement La Capitale, Pierre Chartrand went his own way in 1995, starting his company in the Montérégie region, more precisely in Longueuil.
His goal was clear: make Groupe Chartrand the most prestigious and respected moving company in the Montérégie.
Strategic partnership with Tessier Transport
In 2019, Pierre Chartrand and Philippe Tessier, president of Tessier Transport, developed a strategic partnership focused mainly on the commercial sector. This collaboration lets them combine a top-tier team to take on larger contracts and innovate faster by sharing their expertise and resources.
Passing the torch to the new generation
In 2024, after many years in the industry, Pierre Chartrand decided to officially retire and hand over to the new generation. That is when Philippe Tessier, Willyam Houle, Steven Arbour-Roch and Jesse Arbour-Roch took up the torch, driven by the same passion and the same commitment to excellence that have always built the company’s reputation.
Today, Chartrand and Tessier bring their best teams together while preserving their distinct identities, forming a moving powerhouse in Quebec, known for its rigour, reliability and the exceptional quality of its services.
